The founder of the dynasty is shown in a vision to Queen K'abal Xok. The sculpted image dates back to the 61-year period of rule of Itzamnaah Kokaaj B'ahlam, in Spanish "Shield Jaguar the Great", from the year 681 AD. The main character is Lady K'ab'al Xook, who performs an invocation rite with a bowl in her hand, deposited with a little of her own blood obtained by self-sacrifice with a stingray spine and an obsidian awl.

Ixchel, the lady of the rainbow, is the goddess of love, of gestation, water, of the textile workers and of medicine. She was represented as and old woman emptying a pitcher of water on the earth and she is also represented as an old woman weaving on a loom hanging on her waist. She has a serpent on her head and a skirt made of bones that forms crosses. It is said that Ixchel took pilgrims under her protection when they visited her sacred island, Cozumel.
